Home Decoration in Crochet
Book Tour {29.10.17}
Hello! I’m joining in the blog tour today to celebrate Tanya from LittleThingsBlogged new book: ‘Home Decoration In Crochet’….
I’m so happy to be joining the book tour because I love Tanya’s work, from her beautiful Instagram feed to her gorgeous crochet projects. Home Decoration in Crochet has 25 colourful crochet projects from simple jar cosies and coasters to beautiful blankets and cushion covers. I showed some of my favourite projects in last week’s podcast and it was a struggle to decide which one to make for the blog hop. I had some lovely 100g skeins of The Croft yarn from West Yorkshire Spinners that I was itching to use and I thought it would look amazing as a tea cosy.
Tanya’s pattern was easy to follow and most of the patterns have diagrams too which I always find helps me. I’m so happy with my new tea cosy! I even had some leftover yarn from my skein so I worked up some of the coasters from the book to go with it. I only worked them up to round 4 as I was using aran yarn and a 5mm (not the suggested cotton and 3mm) and I finished them off by using the diagram. I absolutely love the affect of working with two yarns at once to create the swirls.
The projects are all fresh and modern and easily adaptable, it really is a gorgeous book and a very welcome addition to by collection. If you’d like to try for yourself Tanya’s book is available from Amazon: Home Decoration in Crochet by Tanya Eberhardt or pop over to Tanya’s blog to see what the other participants have been hooking up.
