Reasons to celebrate
An Olympic Torch & A Birthday
What a hectic but fabulous week it's been. Tuesday the Olympic Torch passed through our Town, Oli finished school early & Rob took a long lunch break so we managed to watch the event as a family. The weather was glorious and there was such an incredible spirit, we were really pleased to be able to watch the torch changing hands...
...Oli was so excited as he'd seen David Beckham with a torch on TV, I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't the same one! The children were waving their flags and looked very patriotic although I think Lulu just wanted to get home to the paddling pool as it was very hot.
K also had her 12th birthday, which was full of cupcakes, brownies and excitement. I took her and a group of friends to Bath at the weekend to watch the new Tim Burton film 'Dark Shadows' followed by Nandos & some shopping. She was so sweet and appreciative and I felt very lucky to have such a lovely daughter.
It feels like there is a lot to celebrate this year and I feel very fortunate to be able to do so!
Bye for now. Em xx
