Crochet - Easter Chicks

Hello, I hope you all have had a lovely weekend and that the mothers' amongst you were spoiled a little on Sunday!  My lovely brood woke me with a cup of tea, some flowers and 3 fabulous handmade cards and then spoiled me further by taking me out for Sunday Lunch!

I've not done much in the way of crochet this week but I did manage to make some more Easter Chicks...

...I followed a pattern I found on the Lion Brand website and used some of the acyrilc yarn I've managed to accumulate (It's got to the point where I need to use it up before it takes over my study!)

The sun was shining early this morning so I crept out to the garden to take some photos of them - It does sound slightly odd that a grown woman would be messing about in the garden posing stuffed chicks in trees when she should be preparing lunch boxes, but when Rob ventured outside to see where I was all he said was 'ooh nice light, can I have a go!' so this is clearly accepted behaviour in our family!

I hope the weather continues to behave this week as I'm itching to get back out in the garden and sort my little vegetable patch!

Anyway here they are some very spring like Easter Chicks...

The chicks are just gorgeous and I can also be found sneaking around the garden with a camera and hangy-things!! This, coupled with my chickens who come when I call them (they occasionally wander off down the road) marks me out as a madwoman among my neighbours, I fear.

These are gorgeous absolutely adorable!! I love the sunshine, I always wait for the sun to shine to take good photos and then decide that it's too nice to stay inside and go out for the day - hence why all my photos are dark and gloomy!!!!

They are such cute little chicks and in lovely pastelly colours. I often photograph my bags on my washing line. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm potty!
