Crochet - Collar

What a glorious weekend! It wasn't even that Sunny here but it was dry for two whole days that must be a first in over a month now!  We spent the weekend in the garden pottering, planting, playing and crocheting (well I did).  We also managed to get out to some car boot sales and found a few treats for the garden so I was very happy.

I took advantage of the sun by getting some photos of my latest crochet obsession; collars...

...I have been looking for a good crochet collar pattern for a while now to jazz up some of my tops/dresses but I hadn't been able to find what I was looking for. I liked this one but wanted something smaller and more scalloped, then a couple of weeks ago I came across an image on Pinterest that I loved. After a number of evenings searching I could find no pattern for it or anything similar and when I finally found the blog the image originated from it was no longer online! Not to be put off I created my interpretation of it and have come up with a pattern that I am pretty happy with. Let me know what you think?

{Edit} I have now written up the free pattern - you can find it here on my blog!

For modelling purposes I asked Rob to take some shots of me wearing my new accessory, here's one of me trying not to smile too much (I have wonky smile syndrome!) or look at the camera (did I mention I hate having my photo taken!)

I made this collar with some 4ply wool as I loved the colour but I've since made them with cotton and they are much easier and look a lot neater. The button I used I found in a big tub of buttons I bought at the car boot sale for £2!

Have a lovely week.

Bye for now. Em xx
