Slow days & Christmas walks

Hello! I hope you have all been enjoying the holidays. I thought I’d pop in today to share some photos I took on one of our winter walks…

Christmas 2016

Christmas 2016

Ahh the holidays. The break over Christmas was so desperately needed.  They were quiet and gentle and just what we craved after the craziness of 2016. We’d had the builders in for six solid months, the work infiltrated every single room and it left us all feeling slightly misplaced (and totally shattered). Finally things seem to be coming together and now the mammoth task of decorating begins. But before that, two weeks of hibernating: of walks, watching movies at 3pm in our pjs, lazy suppers of leftovers, board games and naps. Total BLISS.

Cheerz - Print Your Photos

Last minute Christmas gifts..

Cheerz - Print Your Photos

I was recently contacted by Cheerz to see if i'd like to try out their photo printing service. I don't know about you but I have sooooo many photos on my phone that I never do anything with. My phone is with me all the time so it makes sense that the bulk of our daily lives are captured on it (see how I justify my photo hoarding tendancies). Anyway, I was more than happy to try their service as every now and then I get my act together and try to get a batch printed from my Iphone...

Summer Lovin'

Hello - It's been a while! I've spent the summer enjoying being home with the children. We've enjoyed a week in Cornwall with some beautiful weather (for a change), weddings, family celebrations and a lot of just hanging out ;)

Stourhead

and a seventh birthday

Stourhead

We celebrated Oli's 7th birthday this year with a walk and a cream tea at Stourhead. Just us. It was sunny and very hot, like the day he was born, but the walk down to the lake was beautifully shady...

A Fourth Birthday

and a giveaway winner

A Fourth Birthday

Hello. I feel like my posts are getting increasingly sporadic as the end of the school term approaches - I apologise. Life is full of end of nursery and school activities, birthdays, anniversaries, revision and a constant feeling that I have forgot something!

I’m just popping in today to announce the winner of the Pearl Lowe Vintage Craft Book giveaway and share some photos from Lulu’s 4th Birthday…

Thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway for the 'Girls' Night In' book. I really enjoyed the blog tour and reading about your favourite crafts. I'm a bit late posting this week as it's been non-stop here but I wanted to stop by and have a catch up as well as announce the winner of the giveaway...

Snow and Stuff...

and some crochet work in progress

Snow and Stuff...

It's been SNOWING here (well it's been snowing mostly everywhere in the UK). The children were up earlier than Christmas day on Friday morning, looking out for the heavy snow that had been forecast. For once the British weather did not let them down!

Schools were closed so I didn't manage to finish the projects I was working on but that was okay because it was SNOWING...

Lazy Days...

...and a bit of Harry Potter

Lazy Days...

The children have been home for the past two weeks for their half term holiday. I love the October half term as with Halloween and Bonfire Night there is always lots to look forward to, but as the nights draw in it's also a perfect time to cosy up and do very little...

Plum Cobbler

Weekend Baking...

Plum Cobbler

I've not done a food post for a while now - not because I've stopped cooking & baking but because I often remember to take pictures of the making part then am so hungry/anxious to taste the finished item once its cooked that I completely forget to take any more pictures. But this Sunday I had the camera out a lot so I managed to get some photos of my first attempt at a Plum Cobbler...
